THE 13TH DAY FASTING REFLECTION
The act of devotion of fasting is a good opportunity to train ourselves to be a resignation person, rigid and completely surrender ourselves as well as lean on Him for all our initiative or hard work.
Allah Said :
"So rely upon Allah ; indeed, you are upon the clear truth”.[An-Naml 79]
"And follow that which is revealed to you from your Lord. Indeed Allah is ever Acquainted with what you do”.[Al-'Aĥzāb 2]
In essence to place our trust in God is not an attitude to surrender ourselves, but rather an attitude to lean on Him all the result of our effort, initiative as well as hard work, which is one of the characteristics of the Believe & Pious person.
Allah Said :
“O' you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands in aggression against you, but He withheld their hands from you. And FEAR ALLAH, AND UPON ALLAH LET THE BELIEVERS RELY”.[Al-Mā'idah 11]
“Say : "HE IS THE MOST MERCIFUL; WE HAVE BELIEVED IN HIM, AND UPON HIM WE HAVE RELIED . And you will come to know who it is that is in clear error”.[Al-Mulk 29]
“And Moses said : "O my people, IF YOU HAVE BELIEVED IN ALLAH, THEN RELY UPON HIM ONLY, if you should be Muslims”.[Yūnus 84]
The attitude to place our trust in God will be owned by a person when he has been struggling the most to something objective, however, the end result of the hard work is submitted and returned to Him.
Allah Said :
“And to Allah belong the unseen aspects of the heavens and the earth and TO HIM WILL BE RETURNED THE MATTER, ALL OF IT, SO WORSHIP HIM AND RELY UPON HIM. And your Lord is not unaware of that which you do”.[Hud 123]
Allah always have a best plan for us. However, not incommon it is in contradiction to our expectations, then we should always be sincere and grateful to any form of His determination, because all that happens must be the best for us, and certainly there is wisdom behind all of it.
Allah Said :
“So whatever thing you have been given - it is but for enjoyment of the Life on Earth. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely”.[Asy-Syura 36]
“And why should we not rely upon Allah while He has guided us to our good ways. And we will surely be patient against whatever harm you should cause us. AND UPON ALLAH LET THOSE WHO WOULD RELY, INDEED RELY ON”.['Ibrāhīm 12]
That's the characteristic of the pious people, because they are convinced that only Him could be the one who could become their patron & helper in all circumstances.
Allah Said :
“And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites but do not harm them, and RELY UPON ALLAH. AND SUFFICIENT IS ALLAH AS DISPOSER OF AFFAIRS”.[Al-'Aĥzāb 48]
“Those to whom hypocrites said : "Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them." But it merely increased them in faith, and they said : "SUFFICIENT FOR US IS ALLAH, AND HE IS THE BEST DISPOSER OF AFFAIRS".['Āli `Imrān 173]
During this act of devotion of fasting, train yourself to resignation to Him, because Allah loves those who resignation.
Allah Said :
“So by mercy from Allah , [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude in speech and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. INDEED, ALLAH LOVES THOSE WHO RELY UPON HIM”.['Āli `Imrān 159]
Mighty Right Allah with all His Words.
Allah Said :
“The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely”.[Al-'Anfāl 2]
May later after the act of devotion of fasting we are able to become the resignation person, and tough in facing of any event in this Life on Earth, and able to resume continuously in the following months.
